In January and February, it's hard to do much on the house, or think about doing much on the house. Literally the sun sets so early you can't even see things clearly to work on projects, and it's so cold all you want to do is hibernate under a blanket on the couch. Today, though, mom and I cranked out a couple of new pillows for the bed using a gorgeous tapestry fabric sent to me by my friend Briony.
Our bedroom is on the second floor of our Cape Cod, a house style which anyone who has lived in can tell you isn't the best insulated against the extreme heat or cold. But in our warm tree bed we sleep well at night, despite the howling winds and bitter cold.
What a cozy bedroom! I'm so glad you and your mum have gotten around to taking out new pillows, and covering them with such lovely tapestries. Also, that bed frame is gorgeous. Where did you get it from? Thanks for sharing that, Grace! All the best to you! :)

Thanks Melissa! The bed frame was a lucky find on the local Craigslist page. I've never seen another one like it! (except just now I googled tree bed, and found another one from an ended auction here: http://rasmuscatalog.com/cgi-bin/mnlist.cgi?rasmus1979/10769 )
